Finance Business Partner

Fully Remote in UK (occasional travel to Edinburgh/Glasgow)

12-Month FTC (Potential to Extend)

We’re currently hiring a Finance Business Partner on behalf of a leading financial services organisation that’s transforming how it manages investment and project spend.

This is a fully remote opportunity offering a 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential to extend.

The Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll join a newly formed team created to scrutinize and optimize investment across a portfolio of technology and change initiatives. This team was established following a strategic review, with a mission to identify inefficiencies and maximise return on investment.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to:

• Validate and challenge the financials of complex business cases, particularly in tech and cyber security projects.
• Assess ROI and provide recommendations on project viability.
• Control budgets, investigate variances, and ensure alignment with forecasts.
• Report on financial performance across the investment portfolio, including monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Support annual budgeting and reforecasting for investment spend.
• Build strong relationships with project teams to understand delivery milestones and financial implications.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Based in Scotland or North of England to be able to travel to Edinburgh/Glasgow when required
• Proven experience in financial services and business change environments.
• Strong background in project finance, especially within technology or software-related initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
