ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doingThis role involves close collaboration with Project Directors, Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure that financials align with key project milestones and broader business objectives. You will be responsible for maintaining the quality and accuracy of day-to-day financial operations. A core aspect of the position is tracking and reporting capital expenditure against budget, forecasting future cash flow requirements, maintaining strong cost control, and ensuring accountability for variances while providing early visibility of any risks to the project budget.
You will jointly manage the investment model with the Asset Management team, regularly updating, challenging, and refining it to reflect evolving project economics and support asset profitability. Leading the monthly reporting process for both capital expenditure and operating P&L performance, you will translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
The role includes producing board-level reporting packs and presenting financial performance to shareholders and executives. You will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders on all financial matters related to data centres under construction and in operation. In doing so, you will serve as a commercial sounding board for delivery teams and challenge key assumptions where necessary.
You will also take responsibility for managing audit and lender reporting obligations, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, you will drive improvements in systems, controls, and reporting through Oracle, streamlining core finance processes for greater efficiency and clarity.
While the role does not include direct line management responsibilities, you will lead financial workstreams and cross-functional initiatives. Key internal relationships include Project Delivery, Operations, Asset Management, FP&A, Treasury, and the CFO. You will also work closely with external parties such as lenders, auditors, and other financial stakeholders.

Qualifications- Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Several years' experience operating at a qualified level in finance business partnering or project finance roles.
Experience- Strong track record in finance business partnering or project finance (R)
- Background in infrastructure, real estate, data centres or energy preferred (D)
- Proven success in capital management, investment modelling, and project reporting (R)
- Experience in audit liaison, compliance, and investor/lender reporting (R)
