Job description

A high-growth, startup business in the telecoms industry is currently seeking an FP&A Analyst/ Business Partner to join their growing function. This is a newly created role due to growth, responsibilities include:

  1. Partner with trade & marketing teams, providing data-led insight, guidance, and direction with a view to delivering customer growth and the revenue plan.
  2. Support commercial decision making by insightful financial analysis.
  3. Create accurate and insightful KPI reporting and analysis to support decision making and understand key commercial drivers of the business.
  4. Liaise with wider finance and operational teams to maintain and review month end reporting for revenue & marketing costs.
  5. Prepare board reporting and commentary, providing insightful analysis on performance.
  6. Management of budget and reforecast processes.
  7. Investor reporting and creating investor packs.
  8. Managing in-year performance of customer growth & revenue plans and attend weekly trading meetings to understand key drivers of performance.
  9. Identify opportunities to improve processes to increase efficiency, including development of revenue subscription models.
  10. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various business areas including marketing, technology, product and customer service.
  11. Additional ah-hoc duties and analysis to support the Finance Director and wider team and business.

The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with PQE experience working in an analytical/business partnering role. Previous experience working in telecoms/ streaming with direct to consumer / subscription-based products or digital experience would be highly desirable. Candidates must have a strong eye for detail and knowing your numbers with ability to analyse large data sets and work in a fast pace, changing environment. Strong analytics skills (Microsoft Excel) and experience of preparing analysis, insight and turning into recommendations is essential, and the role would best suit someone who is proactive, process & control driven.
