Job description

We are looking for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join a £200m service provider. You will provide actionable insight and analysis that supports decision-making across the business. Working closely with the Operations and Sales teams, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, helping drive performance and efficiency.

Purpose of the Role:

To deliver financial insight and commercial analysis to support the business in making informed decisions, while partnering with operational and sales teams to manage financial performance and support growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial oversight of key customer accounts, including management of costing models.
• Prepare detailed analysis to support the budgeting and reforecasting processes.
• Work directly with customers to ensure sales invoices and purchase orders are accurate and timely.
• Deliver commercial support to operations and sales, providing insights to drive business performance.
• Produce customer profitability reports and analyse variances and trends.
• Monitor labour usage across contracts and specific sites, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Ensure business data is accurate, well-maintained, and efficiently managed.
• Develop metrics and reports that clearly communicate business performance.

Skills and Experience:

• Strong ability to analyse and manipulate large datasets into clear, meaningful reports.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business.
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation).
• Proven ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw clear conclusions from complex data.
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA part qualified or fully qualified.
