Job summary

A leading company in the manufacturing sector seeks a Finance Business Partner for a 14-month FTC (Maternity Cover), starting Summer 2025 in Stoke or Hull. This role includes significant involvement in financial performance, cost analysis, and collaboration across teams to improve financial processes. Ideal candidates will be either part-qualified accountants or have strong QBE experience in management accounting, particularly in manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant with relevant qualifications.
  • Experience in management accounting is essential, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Strong experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily, weekly, and month-end reporting for Stoke site.
  • Manage customer rebate processes and product costings.
  • Collaborate with teams across Stoke and Hull with some travel.

Finance Business Partner

FTC 14 months (Maternity Cover) | Start in Summer 2025 | located in Stoke or Hull

Are you a hands-on finance professional with a passion for manufacturing? Do you enjoy improving financial processes and making numbers meaningful to the wider business?

We're looking for a Finance Business Partner (or experienced Management Accountant) to join our dedicated and lovely team in Stoke and play a key role in supporting our financial performance and operational decision-making.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in both day-to-day reporting and deeper cost analysis, including product costings, rebate management, and process improvements using SAP.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting daily, weekly, and month-end reporting for our Stoke site
  • Managing and improving customer rebate processes
  • Working with operations on product costings and manufacturing analysis
  • Helping to improve our SAP finance processes and reporting tools
  • Supporting month-end accounting, variance analysis and stakeholder insight
  • Collaborating with teams in Stoke and Hull (travel approx. once or twice a month)
What you'll need:
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or strong QBE
  • Solid background in management accounting, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong SAP or ERP systems experience
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach
