Job description

Finance Business Partner

Milton Keynes

55,000 – 65,000 + Bonus & Bens

This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join a growing and evolving business in a highly visible role. Sitting within the finance team and reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in driving financial insight and supporting strategic decisions across a complex production programme.

You'll be responsible for bringing numbers to life–translating data into meaningful insight that supports cost planning, drives efficiency, and ensures regulatory compliance. You'll also collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner during a period of transformation and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the financial planning process across supply chain operations, including budgeting and forecasting for both operating and capital expenditure
  • Shaping planning data to feed into wider financial submissions and ensuring alignment with key cost frameworks
  • Supporting compliance with external financial regulations and internal governance processes
  • Partnering with the operational teams to help guide a significant change programme and long–term growth strategy
  • Producing regular forecast updates and working with the Supply Chain Controller to review performance and variances
  • Building strong working relationships to really get under the skin of how the business works and what drives its costs
  • Managing cost approvals, investment cases, and maintaining robust financial controls across the supply chain
  • Providing analysis on inventory, materials, and other key cost drivers to support commercial insight and decision–making
  • Contributing to wider finance projects and delivering high–quality, ad–hoc reporting when needed

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a management accounting or business partnering role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment. You'll be recently qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) and bring a natural ability to interpret data, spot trends, and turn complex information into clear, actionable insight. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders. Our client is looking for someone with a collaborative and proactive approach, who thrives in a fast–paced and evolving environment.
