Job summary

The Education body in London is seeking a Finance Business Partner to provide financial guidance to senior management and budget holders on an onsite temporary basis, with potential to go permanent.

You will build relationships with headteachers, lead monthly financial reporting, and challenge spend while identifying risks and opportunities. This role is based in East London with a start end of November or December.

Qualifications

• Excellent working knowledge of core accounting concepts.
• Extensive experience working in financial management.
• Experience of budget management and monitoring.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and gravitas to liaise with senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial guidance and support to senior management and budget holders, challenging and supporting spend across portfolios.
• Present financial information to Senior Management Teams, translating complex issues for non-financial stakeholders.
• Lead the monthly financial reporting process and ensure timely and accurate delivery.

Finance Business Partner - ONSITE - TEMPORARY (WITH POTENTIAL FOR PERM) EAST LONDON

We are working with a renowned educational body who aim and aspire to school improvement and we are helping them recruit a Finance Business Partner on a temporary basis initially but with the potential of the role going permanent. You ideally will have a background in education and understand how to establish relationships with headteachers, this combines your financial acumen and your people skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial guidance and support to senior management and budget holders. Challenging and supporting senior management in managing spend on a portfolio basis. Recognising potential risk and opportunities and identifying solutions to manage them.


• Presenting financial information to Senior Management Teams on a regular basis. Communicating complex financial issues to internal and external stakeholders, enabling individuals with little financial knowledge to understand key messages
