Job summary

A leading financial consultancy is seeking a Finance Business Partner for a public sector client in Glasgow. The role involves providing financial insight and analysis, with an emphasis on budgeting and forecasting. Candidates must have experience in financial governance and be part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA). This is a hybrid position, requiring attendance in the office 3 days a week.

We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner for our public sector client based in Glasgow on an initial 6-month contract paying £318 to £452 per day Inside IR35.

This role allows hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office 3 days per week in Glasgow. You may choose to work remotely for the remainder of the week.

You will need proven experience providing financial insight, planning, and analysis to senior stakeholders within a large or complex organisation.

The successful Finance Business Partner will possess proven skills working with the following –

• Budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting
  
• Financial analysis and stakeholder engagement
  
• Preparing accruals, adjustments, and validating accounts
  
• Interpreting accounting standards and financial governance
  
• Identifying commercial risks and supporting investment decisions
  
• Excel and data analysis (Power BI desirable)
  
• Oracle or other ERP finance systems
  
• Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA) as a minimum – full qualification desirable
