Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy Local Authority in Hampshire, are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team and play a crucial role in their finance operations

Position:
Finance Business Partner
Rate: Negotiable (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract Duration: Temporary (November 2025) with Possible Extension
Position(s): 2

1x Must have Adult Social Care experience
1x must have Capital Monitoring experience

Purpose:

  • Provision of business modelling, analysis of financial risk and dynamic financial management information in support of Heads of Service and underpin strong financial performance.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Key focus will be providing strategic and financial decision support to budget holders in managing their income and expenditure, medium term financial plans and financial governance across an area of business. In addition the role will ensure that all change initiatives are provided with financial modelling support, while also representing the financial impact to the wider organisation.
  • The role will ensure that financial controls, reporting and transformation changes are in place and of satisfactory quality to provide assurance that the financial provision and service of the Council is of good/outstanding quality.
  • The role will manage and motivate a high performing team of Financial Analysts and Accounting Assistants.
Job Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 1 year experience within a Finance Business Partner role or equivalent.
  • Full Professional accountancy level qualification, CCAB or CIMA (or finalist).
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
