Provide timely, informative and proactive analysis and insight to support business needs and decision making

  • Business Partner to Commercial Director and their team providing support on product costing and product profitability
  • Manage new business costings through the NPD gate process
  • Maintain Standard Costs in system for all 3 BUs
  • Manage process for approval of standard cost updates and ensure D365/AX is maintained accurately and reconciled
  • Report product profitability as part of month-end routine
  • Update Demand with actuals, update sales prices and maintain model
  • Provide insight to operational performance through creation of P&L to GM level
  • Business Partner to Plant Manager and team
  • Business Partner with R&D to enhance profitability on existing product portfolio through value engineering
Integrity of Financial Records
  • Assist in the timely and accurate month-end close within agreed deadlines
  • Ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of all transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements
  • Ensure clean annual audit opinion
Financial Controls & Systems
  • Operate and maintain an effective system of internal controls to ensure margin is protected at SKU level.
  • Ensure efficient processes within the financial function and within cross functional processes involving finance
Reporting and Analysis
  • Develop and manage ledger reports, control systems and internal audit.
  • Development of monthly management reports for non-finance manager
  • Ad hoc financial analysis as required
Business Improvement Activities
  • Proactively support Financial Planning and Analysis Manager identify and implement cost saving measures
  • Support Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in any other business improvement/analysis projects
Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Critical

  • Manufacturing sector experience
  • Strong PC skills/knowledge of MS Office packages (Excel, Vlookup's, sumif's, pivot tables) & Accounting Systems knowledge (D365 / SAP)
  • Strong attention to detail recognising the potential impact of inaccurate master data
  • Self-starter and team player
  • Able to prioritise and work independently with limited supervision
  • Responsive to the needs of both internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable

  • Minimum 3 years work experience of Finance / Commercial acquired within the food sector (manufacturing / distribution / retailing)
  • AAT qualification or part qualified / Passed Finalist CIMA/ACCA
  • SAP 4 HANA systems knowledge
