Responsibilities

• Financial Accounting: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and applicable standards.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and statutory filings.
• Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Team Management: Supervise and develop junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards and practices (additional UK qualifications like ACCA would be advantageous).
• 8-10 years of experience in accounting roles, with mandatory funding experience.
• Experience in the retail or energy sector preferred.
• Familiarity with UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Team management and leadership skills.
• Adaptability to changing regulatory environments.

Salary Package:
£80,000.00 - £120,000.00 (British Pound Sterling)
