Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to work at our client's site in Derby on a 6-month contract basis.

Role details:

  • Role title - Finance Business Partner
  • Contract duration - 6 months
  • Contract type - PAYE via Umbrella - INSIDE IR35
  • Hours - 37 hours per week (overtime achievable)
  • Location - Derby

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with Senior Management to ensure financial commitments are met or exceeded, and analyzing business performance drivers.
  • Assisting in the development of business plans, cases, and investment requests.
  • Developing financial and commercial strategies for new contracts and renewals, including transitioning to risk-based contracts under Single Source Contracting Regulations, and evaluating Business Evaluation Forms.
  • Creating balanced and supported business forecasts with coherent assumptions.
  • Reviewing contracts for governance compliance and challenging business performance.
  • Interfacing regularly with the customer, providing performance reviews, and supporting asset safeguarding as needed.
  • Providing cost claims, certificates, and rates, and supporting audits with necessary justifications.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Understanding of drivers that optimize business performance.
  • Knowledge of business strategy and external environment analysis.
  • Ability to interface effectively with customers.
  • Knowledge of business risk management.
  • Extensive experience in business planning, reporting, and control.
  • Experience with accounting standards.
