Are you a Chartered Accountant specialising in management accounting and business partnering? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Interested in playing a crucial role in the transformation of a finance team? If yes, read on!

One of the UK's leading charities is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on a nine-month contract. This is a critical role overseeing the financial management of group of entities, with ownership of their largest and most complex entities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the month-end reporting and consolidation process across the group
  • Provide proactive financial business partnering to department heads and budget holders
  • Motivate and manage a team of three Management Accountants, approving bank and balance sheet reconciliations and approving journals
  • Ensure accurate recording and classification of income, including grants and fundraising
  • Prepare VAT returns and liaise with external auditors for the year-end statutory reporting
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process

The role is based in Central London on a hybrid basis, and will report to a highly driven Head of Finance who is keen to drive a high-performing finance team.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Significant experience working in the charity/not-for-profit sector
  • Proven track record of managing a team of finance professionals
  • Strong technical accounting skills, including consolidations and VAT
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience in the adoption/children's services sector is desirable but not essential
