On behalf of Tesco IMS, AMS are now looking for a Finance Business Partner for a 6 month contract based in the bank's Edinburgh, 2-3 days per week in office on a hybrid working model.

Purpose of the Role:

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide financial and operational support to the Centres of Expertise (CoEs) within the Insurance and Money Services business. You will work closely with key stakeholders to analyse financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making to maintain financial efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and timely financial reports across all Centres of Expertise (CoEs) at both month-end and period-end, ensuring consistency, compliance, and actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial forecasts, including Rolling Forecasts, Long-Term Plans, and Budgets, in collaboration with key stakeholders to reflect evolving business needs.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and build robust financial models to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
• Translate management information (MI) and business insights into clear, concise financial outputs that inform and influence business strategies.
• Proactively challenge and support commercial teams and external partners to ensure financial considerations are fully integrated into decision-making processes.
• Review and critically assess investment appraisals, providing financial input and challenge to ensure alignment with business objectives and value creation.
• Contribute to change initiatives by evaluating financial impacts and supporting the implementation of cost-effective and sustainable solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Financial planning and forecasting experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and inquisitive mindset, to be able to find and develop insight from the numbers that can be used to influence decisions.
• Communicate effectively to build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Adaptable in your ways of working, and showing flexibility in order to meet concurrent deadlines.
• Financial reporting and/or management accounting experience.
• Proficient user of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
