About the role

The Finance Business Partner, reporting into the Head of Finance Business Partnering in a dynamic finance team, will be responsible for acting as the finance business partner for our newly launched Homeowner Loans business. This is a hands-on role in a high-growth environment, ideally suited for someone eager to help shape the future of a specialist lending business.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles.
  • Gaining clear financial understanding of business case proposals and projects, including cost drivers, KPIs, and expected outcomes, challenging where required.
  • Delivering monthly business performance reviews, analysis, and insights to support decision-making.
  • Partnering with all levels of stakeholders across the business to build strong relationships and ensure financial alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Supporting the delivery of financial plans through timely and accurate analysis, reporting, and trend analysis.
  • Driving continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Regularly influencing and presenting key findings from financial analysis to senior finance management.

About you

As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial expertise to drive performance and influence strategic decisions to help meet the business's long-term goals. You will have an eye for detail and be proactive in proposing solutions to potential problems.

Skills required

  • Experience within a finance function, preferably in management reporting or planning and analysis roles, ideally within financial services.
  • Qualified accountant with X+ years of experience.
  • Financial partnering experience within a lending or mortgage environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of building and operating complex financial models.
  • Experience using analysis and insights to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences in a fast-paced environment.
