Job description

Our Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Marshall Land Systems business on a permanent basis. This role will report to our Senior Finance Business Partner and support key stakeholders on defence-related projects and programmes involving deployable infrastructure and vehicle missions. As the financial lead on these programmes, you will collaborate with various stakeholders, providing proactive Finance Business Partnering and detailed financial analysis to ensure clarity and control over our projects and programmes.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Working with senior stakeholders at a Director level to support, challenge, and influence decision-making to meet strategic objectives.
  2. Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and business planning, along with providing real-time management information to aid decision-making.
  3. Managing the financial aspects of key programmes and projects within Land Systems.
  4. Mentoring and coaching the wider business partnering team to promote best practices.
  5. Challenging and influencing senior stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy and business performance.
  6. Conducting monthly reviews with budget holders to discuss variances and develop action plans.
  7. Analyzing data and communicating insights effectively to the Board and non-financial stakeholders.
  8. Reporting on long-term project results, including risk analysis, and collaborating with project teams to keep projects on track.

  8. Experience in long-term project accounting is helpful but not essential.
  9. Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA.
