Citadel Source is delighted to partner with a leading plc to support the search for their new Finance Business Partner.

The role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join a leading organisation and play a key role in supporting financial decision-making. This role is business-facing and works closely with operational and commercial teams, with little accounts preparation entailed. In this role, you will provide financial insights, ensure accurate reporting, and contribute to bottom-up budgeting and forecasting processes.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will be a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams. A proactive approach and a willingness to challenge and drive improvements will be key to your success in the role.

As the Finance Business Partner, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Acting as a business partner to operational, engineering, and commercial teams
• Analysing management accounts, providing insightful commentary on performance
• Tracking actuals vs forecast and analysing variances, investigating discrepancies and trends
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring achievable targets and tracking progress
• Driving process improvements to enhance financial reporting and decision-making
• Providing costing support for internal business cases, bids, and tenders
• Ensuring financial accuracy and integrity across all records
• Covering for the Financial Controller during periods of leave
