Job description

Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well-established business in Blackburn to recruit a new Finance Business Partner. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £57,000.


Candidates must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Build relationships with key stakeholders to gain their trust and be a credible partner in helping them improve ways of working.
  2. Take an area of known difficulty within either management accounting or transactional services and investigate it thoroughly to understand where problems in data, processes and controls exist.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues to design solutions that address historic data issues, enhance finance processes, and implement or upgrade controls around those processes.
  4. Present clear and concise findings that outline options with rationale for the recommended solutions.
  5. Drive standardisation to ensure that as far as possible all changes are implemented in a standardised way.
  6. Promote independence by coaching colleagues to implement new processes and controls and resolve issues on their own when needed.
  7. Monitor changes to any fixed data, processes and controls to ensure that problems do not reoccur.
  8. Maintain a constant focus on operational impacts to ensure that all changes contribute value to the business.
  9. Where appropriate, work on future acquisitions and support in ensuring they adopt standard processes.
