Qualifications

  • Fully or part-qualified AAT, or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA considered desirable.

Job description

As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with the Client Account teams to support strategic and operational decision-making through insightful financial analysis that enhances performance. You will act as a trusted advisor, capable of challenging and providing recommendations during decision processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Partner with client account teams to provide financial insights that inform decision-making.
  2. Support the Finance Director – Marketing Services in achieving the objectives of the client accounting finance function.
  3. Prepare and analyze period and year-end results, highlighting variances, trends, and impacts on business plans and forecasts.
  4. Collaborate with Account Directors to review and analyze monthly gross margin reports, investigating significant variances.
  5. Conduct post-month-end reviews with Account Directors, focusing on P&L performance and risk/opportunity analysis.
  6. Assist in managing working capital by reviewing sales reserves, aged debt, and WIP.
  7. Support the preparation of forecasts and budgets, challenging assumptions as needed.
  8. Ensure timely revenue billing and processing, managing purchase orders for key clients.
  9. Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
  10. Collaborate with teams to understand financial implications of operational decisions.
  11. Participate in regular meetings with Account Directors as the finance contact.
  12. Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  13. Drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
  14. Perform other tasks as required within the role's scope.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Desirable: Fully or part-qualified AAT, or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Experience in a similar role and environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with high accuracy and presentation standards.
  • Knowledge of SAGE Intacct or similar finance platforms (preferred but not essential).
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
