As a Finance Business Partner, you will collaborate closely with the Client Account teams to support strategic and operational decision-making through insightful financial analysis that enhances performance. You will act as a trusted advisor, capable of challenging and providing recommendations during decision processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with client account teams to provide financial insights that inform decision-making.
- Support the Finance Director – Marketing Services in achieving the objectives of the client accounting finance function.
- Prepare and analyze period and year-end results, highlighting variances, trends, and impacts on business plans and forecasts.
- Collaborate with Account Directors to review and analyze monthly gross margin reports, investigating significant variances.
- Conduct post-month-end reviews with Account Directors, focusing on P&L performance and risk/opportunity analysis.
- Assist in managing working capital by reviewing sales reserves, aged debt, and WIP.
- Support the preparation of forecasts and budgets, challenging assumptions as needed.
- Ensure timely revenue billing and processing, managing purchase orders for key clients.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with teams to understand financial implications of operational decisions.
- Participate in regular meetings with Account Directors as the finance contact.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
- Perform other tasks as required within the role's scope.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Desirable: Fully or part-qualified AAT, or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
- Ability to build strong, trusted relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in a similar role and environment.
- Excellent communication skills with high accuracy and presentation standards.
- Knowledge of SAGE Intacct or similar finance platforms (preferred but not essential).
- Proficient in MS Excel.
