Due to the upcoming retirement of our long-serving Business Manager, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Finance and Business Manager to join Drs Reddy & Nunn, a dynamic and forward-thinking GP practice located on the stunning East Yorkshire coast.

With a growing list of over 29,500 patients and a reputation for innovation, quality care, and operational excellence, we are seeking a strategic, commercially astute professional to take the lead on financial management and business operations at a pivotal time in our development.

This is a key leadership role within the practice and a unique chance to make a real impact, not only on the performance of the organisation, but on the health and wellbeing of the local community.

Main duties of the job

Contribute to and provide expert advice to theGP Partners and Senior Management Team on long-term planning and the strategicdirection of the practice, ensuring financial sustainability and operationalexcellence.

Support the development and delivery of clearplans and measurable goals that align with the practice's vision and futuregrowth.

Design and implement robust systems tomaximise income, monitor financial performance, and manage cost efficiencies.

Oversee all funding streams including PMS contracts, Enhanced Services, QOF, PCN income, and private services.

Ensuretimely submission of claims and effective financial reporting in line with NHSand statutory requirements.

Ensurethe practice meets all financial, legal, and quality standards required by theNHS and external regulators.

Communicate effectively with clinical andnon-clinical teams to support a culture of collaboration, transparency, andaccountability.

To take responsibility and coordinate all aspects of organisation financesand information management, optimising efficiency and financial performance,ensuring the organisation achieves its long-term strategic objectives

Aspart of the Senior Management Team, to provide leadership and develop the organisation,briefing the partners on all financial matters, including forecasting

Person Specification
Experience
  • Experience of managing accounts
  • Proficient in data analysis, and decision support tools
  • Proven experience of working with Xero or similar accounting software
  • Experience of financial planning and forecasting
  • Experience of successfully developing and implementing projects
  • Strong understanding of NHS finance and general practice operations, or a demonstrable ability to learn quickly
  • Experience in primary care, commissioning, or other NHS organisations
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements and quality improvement frameworks
  • Previous involvement in practice development or change management projects
Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level in healthcare or business
  • Excellent standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • AAT Accounting Qualification or similar
