The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and analytical graduate to join our award-winning marketing agency as a Finance Business Partner / Commercial Analyst. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the business with working capital management, commercial analysis, and day-to-day financial operations. The position offers broad exposure across the agency and provides the chance to work closely with both the Financial Controller and CFO, as well as account and operations teams.

You will take ownership of billings, WIP, AR, and UAR management, helping ensure that financial information is accurate, up to date, and aligned with business objectives. You will also provide analytical insight to drive efficiency and support decision-making across the agency. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to make an impact within a growing and dynamic team.

What You’ll Do

• Working Capital Management – 70%: Raise trade and intercompany billings, manage billing deadlines, and review billing updates with the Financial Controller and CFO.
• WIP Management: Hold monthly meetings with account teams to review WIP, identify outstanding billings, proactively flag potential issues, and prepare RIs.
• Accounts Receivable (AR) Management: Conduct weekly meetings with the finance team to review aged AR, identify and coordinate agency support as required.
• Unbilled Accounts Receivable (UAR) Management: Maintain and update the billings sheet, manage aged UAR, and follow up with account teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Commercial Analysis – 15%: Conduct timesheet analysis to ensure compliance and accuracy, and support the finance leadership team with commercial reporting and analysis as needed.
• Ad Hoc Responsibilities – 15%: Manage PWP, support expense processing, resolve queries, oversee job set-ups, new client forms, and new supplier forms, and perform adhoc accounts assistant and transactional finance duties as required.

Who You Are:

• 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
• Speed and accuracy: Proven ability to deliver high-quality work to deadlines.
• Flexible and hands-on: Comfortable taking on a variety of finance and operational tasks.
• Technically confident: Strong Excel skills, comfortable with excel formulae (vlookups, sumifs etc).
• Collaborative communicator: Able to build strong relationships with non-finance stakeholders across the agency.
