Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity within the Helicopters Finance team for a Bids Analyst.

As a Bids Analyst, you'll work on opportunities worth hundreds of millions, sometimes billions, for countries worldwide.

This role offers a fast-paced environment with a diverse team across various functions.

It has a strong track record of developing careers. Please note, this role is a JFF Level 5 (Business Support).

What you’ll do as a Finance Bids Analyst:

• Generate financial analysis
• Provide financial guidance and support in commercial negotiations with customers and partners
• Ensure correct application of financial strategy, policy, and standards
• Consolidate bids and cost data from Leonardo Helicopters and external partners
• Project contract costs and support pricing estimates
• Estimate prices for UK MoD work, considering government profit rates and SSRO regulations
• Provide year-on-year cost/revenue projections
• Review proposals for cost completeness
• Manage financial risks in bid data
• Document cost challenges and plans to address them
• Prepare profitability analyses for approval
• Conduct financial analysis for contract flow-downs between entities

What we need from you:

• Degree-level education or formal accounting qualification; 3+ years of experience
• Ability to liaise with senior project managers, commercial, engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers
• Experience with complex financial modeling under time constraints
• Skills to manage risks and opportunities effectively
• Team player with strong communication skills at all levels
