Job description

An international law firm with a highly regarded offshore finance practice is looking to appoint a technically strong and ambitious banking and finance lawyer to its expanding London team.

Operating as part of a global platform, the successful candidate will advise on a broad range of cross-border finance matters, including fund finance, acquisition finance, structured finance, and general lending mandates. This is a client-facing role offering a strong blend of transactional work, technical training, and business development.

Working alongside senior lawyers with extensive offshore experience, the incoming Associate or Senior Associate (depending on experience) will play a key role in developing client relationships, contributing to internal initiatives, and helping grow the London office’s finance capabilities.

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–7 years' PQE, ideally gained in a top-tier international or national firm
  • Strong experience across a range of banking and finance transactions
  • Excellent academic record and sound technical grounding
  • Commercially minded with strong client-handling skills Collaborative, self-motivated, and confident in a growing team environment
  • Familiarity with offshore jurisdictions an advantage but not essential
  • Commonwealth qualification (E&W, Australia, NZ, etc.) preferred
