We are hiring for our client, a well-established organisation in Derry/Londonderry, who are seeking to recruit a Temporary Finance Associate to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. The Temporary Finance Associate will play a key role in supporting the finance team with core month-end duties, reporting, and reconciliations. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for extension based on performance and business need.

The Role:

• Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
• Prepare and post journals
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Conduct variance analysis
• Compile KPIs and support FP&A activities
• Assist with payroll processing and pension scheme administration
• Prepare month-end accruals and support month-end checklists
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects as required

The person:

• Degree qualified in Accountancy or a related discipline
• Currently studying or planning to study for CIMA/ACCA or Accounts Technician qualification
• At least 6 months’ experience in a finance role
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong reporting skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and confident in liaising with various teams

The Reward:

• £28,000 per annum
• Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–12pm
