Finance Assistant - Credit Control Focus

Job Title: Finance Assistant

Location: Central Brighton

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (Hybrid Working)

Overview:

We are partnering with a leading global organization to recruit a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant with a strong interest in credit control. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with finance experience or looking to grow their skills within a dynamic and supportive finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the reconciliation and maintenance of client accounts, ensuring accurate processing of incoming and outgoing payments.
  2. Assist in monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue payments.
  3. Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve account queries and maintain strong relationships.
  4. Contribute to month-end and year-end finance tasks, including reporting and analysis.
  5. Ensure all financial records are kept up to date and aligned with internal controls and compliance requirements.
  6. Help improve internal finance processes and contribute to ongoing team projects.
What We're Looking For:
  • Strong attention to detail with good numerical and analytical skills.
  • Confident communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with finance systems or CRMs is a bonus.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (including credit control or reconciliations) is desirable but not essential.
