Our client based in Cheltenham (free parking provided) are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a rare opportunity to join an award winning, dynamic estate agency.
This role is to ensure all accounts are kept up to date and accurate, through receiving and reconciling payments, keeping on top of outstanding monies and finance reporting. You will work closely with other staff members across the company, including management teams, supporting finance-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
-Ensuring daily accounting records are correct, and balances are reconciled
-Chasing outstanding balances for tenancy rental arrears and landlord accounts
-Dealing with account queries in an informative and professional manner
-Ensuring client income information provided to HMRC is accurate and compliant
-Making sure clients and contractors are paid correctly
-Keeping business accounts up to date for the purposes of tax recording
-Assist in account reporting as required by company accountants
-Maintain staff personal details and pay records to ensure correct salary payments
Candidate Attributes:
-Finance knowledge, either qualifications or experience
-High attention to detail
-Self-motivated and driven attitude
-Good communication skills
-Strong Microsoft Office skills
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm, flexible working hours can be discussed.
Salary: £26,000 – £29,000 per annum dependent on experience + excellent company benefits including 22 days annual leave + bank holidays increasing with service, gifted day off for your birthday and wedding, longevity bonus, team building days and company events, mental health support, enhanced parental leave, industry qualifications paid for and ongoing professional development opportunities.
