Job summary

St Helens Council in the Northwest is seeking a Finance Assistant to join the Payments & Charges Team within Integrated Health & Social Care. You will help ensure accurate payments, maintain financial records and support service users and care providers.

Your duties include processing provider invoices and payments, producing payment schedules for residential, nursing and domiciliary care, and resolving payment discrepancies to support timely financial assessments.

Qualifications

  • Experience in processing provider invoices and payments.
  • Ability to produce payment schedules for care providers.
  • Experience maintaining financial records and reconciliations.
  • Able to support service users and providers with financial matters.

Employees can regularly work away from Council workspaces (including home or other locations), alongside required office-based working. The balance between remote and office-based working is determined at service level based on operational need, however, there has been a minimum specification that staff will work at least 2 days from an office-based location.
