Job description

The Finance Assistant Temporary role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in accounting principles. This position, based in Royston, supports essential financial operations within the technology & telecoms industry.

Client Details

This role is within a medium-sized company operating in the technology & telecoms industry. The organisation is known for its focus on innovation and providing seamless solutions to its clients.

Description

  • Utilise accounting software Sage Accounting Plus for financial record keeping and reporting.
  • Update and manage financial and administrative records using Sage Accounting Plus
  • Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
  • Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing and expense tracking and ensuring nominal postings are correct
  • Prepare reports and presentations as required by management.

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant Temporary should have:

  • Proficiency in Sage Accounting Plus software
  • Experience with nominal ledger, journal entries, TB, profit and loss and balance sheet
  • Understanding of A2X platform would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet short-term deadlines
  • Experience in supporting small businesses is a plus
  • Advantageous if you have experience of reverse charge VAT, dealing with foreign currency and detailed stock recording
