Job summary

SF Partners is seeking a Finance Assistant in Market Harborough. You will manage day-to-day finance processes, support cash flow forecasting, credit control and month-end tasks while developing experience across broader finance activities.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work across ledgers, supplier payments, reconciliations and assurance for compliance. AAT qualification and active ACCA/CIMA study are ideal, with at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification and actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
• 2+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills with PivotTables and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices, and raise credit notes.
• Post and allocate bank payments, receipts and ledger transactions.
• Maintain accurate purchase and sales ledgers.
• Prepare supplier payment runs and upload payments for approval.
• Perform bank and petty cash reconciliations.
• Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
• Produce aged debtor reports and perform credit control.
• Follow up overdue balances and resolve queries from customers and suppliers.
• Update weekly cash flow forecasts with actual and projected movements.
• Support monthly management accounts and finance packs preparation.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals and prepayments.
• Post journals and assist with month-end close.
• Assist with revenue, cost, margin and project reporting.
• Support VAT returns, year-end requirements and audit preparation.
• Assist with P11D and other routine finance compliance.
