Job summary

Investigo’s client in Cheshunt is hiring a Finance Assistant to provide administrative and financial support to the finance department, ensuring accuracy and compliance in high-volume transactions.

The role offers study support for AAT/ACCA and is office-based, requiring local presence. You will work with the experienced team on day-to-day accounts, helping with month-end, reporting, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in transactional finance and bookkeeping.
• Willing to learn and progress; study support for AAT/ACCA.
• Office-based role; local to Hoddesdon area.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of accounts in line with internal controls and regulations.
• Processing revenue invoices, prepayments and daily credit control on the ERP system.
• Processing accounts payable invoices and supplier reconciliations; manage weekly payment run.
• Assist with month-end procedures and reporting (accruals, prepayments, journals).
• Support year-end accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies.
• Prepare management reports weekly and monthly.
• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as required.
