A leading charity organization in Lanarkshire seeks a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their team. You will be responsible for various financial tasks including ledger entries and cash counts, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will join a supportive working environment and contribute to meaningful palliative care services.
Finance Assistant
SAH Band 2 £21,986 to £23,969 pro rata per annum
35 hours per week over 4 or 5 days (Part-time considered)
Who are we?
St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions which require complex symptom management, and/or end-of-life care. It is Lanarkshire's specialist hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers. The service is provided completely free of charge for the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.

What is the role?
We are seeking a detail-orientated, proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team.

What we expect of you?
You will require to have a minimum of four Nat 5 qualifications or an SVQ Level 2 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience. Previous experience working in a finance role is desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will have proficient IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. This is a busy role therefore the ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities is beneficial.
The ability to maintain confidentiality and strong attention to detail are critical to the role.
