Job summary

Hydro International, part of CRH Infrastructure Products, is seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to manage sales ledger activities and support credit control within a global services environment. You will raise invoices, chase payments, maintain debtor records and produce reports, contributing to continuous improvement in finance processes while working in a hybrid role in Clevedon.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using finance or ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach and willingness to drive improvements.
• Comfortable working in a changing and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Raising sales invoices and Applications for Payment.
• Updating customer portals and ensuring invoicing controls are maintained.
• Managing credit control activities and chasing outstanding debt.
• Working with customers and Project Managers to resolve payment queries.
• Maintaining debtor days in line with company targets.
• Posting cash receipts and completing bank reconciliations.
• Producing debtor reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Supporting compliance with credit insurance requirements.
• Contributing to process improvements and finance best practice initiatives.
