Job summary

Mission 4 Recruitment is partnering with a Ware-based business to recruit a Finance Assistant. The role covers sales ledger, VAT, monthly payroll using Sage 50, and expenses, offering broad exposure and development.

The ideal candidate has AAT Level 3 (or studying), experience with Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll, strong Excel skills, and excellent precision and communication. A supportive team environment and structured progression are on offer.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 3 qualification or studying towards.
• Hands-on experience using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new customer accounts, issue pro-forma and project invoices, and handle customer account queries.
• Assist with quarterly VAT return preparation and support overseas VAT administration.
• Set up new starters, process amendments, run monthly payroll using Sage 50, and manage pension file uploads and employee queries.
• Process employee expense receipts, maintain petty cash reconciliations, and support an expenses portal implementation.
• Maintain paperless filing and assist with general finance duties.
