As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Finance Assistant to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role:

The Finance Assistant will support the Revenue team in ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of the company’s revenue streams, credit control and other debtor balances, covering both in-store and online sales channels. This role will work under the guidance of the Revenue Reconciliation Manager, focusing on routine tasks, discrepancy resolution and assisting in maintaining the integrity of the revenue processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of revenue from in-store and online channels for multiple currencies (£ & €).
  • Identify and report discrepancies between sales records and actual revenue, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support the reconciliation of transactions across various payment platforms, including card payments and online payment processors.
  • Accurately input data related to revenue reconciliation processes.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation of reconciliations, discrepancies, and resolutions for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Reconciliations of other miscellaneous debtor balances such as Finance, Petty cash, purchase orders and chargebacks.

Person Specification:

  • Strong experience in financial reconciliation, preferably within a retail environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA).
