Job Description:

Are you a detail-focused finance professional who enjoys working with high volumes of data? We’re partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant supporting rent and service charge processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, values-driven team in a role that offers real variety, autonomy, and flexibility.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for processing weekly rent and service charge payments, maintaining tenant accounts, and supporting key month-end tasks. You’ll be managing around £k of income across rooms — accuracy and attention to detail are key.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly rent and service charge payments

Allocate housing benefit payments and maintain tenant accounts

Complete regular reconciliations and support month-end activity

Work with high volumes of data, ensuring records are consistently accurate

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a housing or property finance environment (ideal, but not essential)

Strong data entry skills and high attention to detail

A proactive approach with the confidence to work independently

A collaborative attitude and ability to work well with a close-knit team

Working Pattern & Flexibility

4 days per week (30 hours)

Hybrid working — 2 days in the office per week

Flexible choice of working days

Core hours: 10am–4pm
