Job summary

The Charity in Fleet, England is seeking a Finance Assistant to support a busy accounts team with cash handling, bank reconciliations and data input.

You will work across the accounts function, ideally with 12+ months in finance and may be studying for AAT; strong Excel, numeracy and meticulous organisation are essential as deadlines approach.

This role offers a collaborative environment where you contribute to accurate financial reporting for Trustees and Senior Leaders.

Qualifications

• 12+ months experience in finance or accounts is preferred.
• Active study or attainment of AAT is encouraged.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail with accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Raising Sales invoices and processing payments.
• Reconciling bank statements and posting transactions.
• Processing supplier invoices and staff/volunteer expenses.
• Handling income processing for regular banking.
• Monitoring the Finance inbox and responding to queries.
• Assisting in month-end close and reconciliations.
• Recording income on Salesforce CRM and charity finance system.
• Posting transactions onto the charity’s finance system.
