Overview

The Finance Assistant will support the Accounting & Finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and processing transactions efficiently. This temporary role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and an interest in the industrial/manufacturing sector.

Hours of work - Monday to Thursday 8.15am - 4.30pm, 8.15am - 3.15pm on a Friday.

Responsibilities
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions accurately and on time.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as required.
  • Prepare the payroll for the bureau.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management review.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Respond to internal and external financial queries professionally.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the Accounting & Finance department.
Profile
  • A successful Finance Assistant should have:
  • A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes including payroll.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • An ability to work accurately and maintain attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing sector (preferred but not required).
