Job summary

Newstone Talent Solutions Ltd is assisting an established Worthing-area business to recruit a Finance Assistant for an office-based role. You will join a busy finance team and gain exposure across sales ledger, credit control, cash management, expenses, payroll, reconciliations and month end.

This hands-on position suits someone with previous finance experience, studying towards an accounting qualification, strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous finance/accounts experience
• Ideally studying towards an accounting qualification
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills
• Confident with Microsoft Office
• Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop
• Experience of D365 Finance & Operations would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Cashflow and bank balance updates
• Customer receipts and cashbook payments
• Sales ledger and credit control
• Weekly debtor reporting and customer statements
• Invoice discounting administration and reconciliations
• Customer account validation
• Staff expenses and credit cards
• Monthly payroll and pension processing
• Month end support
• Ad hoc financial analysis
• Supporting the wider finance team when required
