Job summary

Newstone Talent Solutions Ltd is partnering with an established business in the Worthing area to appoint a Finance Assistant to join the finance team. This office-based role offers exposure across sales ledger, credit control, cash management, payroll and month-end activities.

You will handle cashflow updates, customer receipts, invoicing and reconciliations while developing your career in a hands-on environment with support from a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Previous finance/accounts experience.
• Ideally studying towards an accounting qualification.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Confident with Microsoft Office.
• Experience of D365 Finance & Operations would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Cashflow and bank balance updates.
• Customer receipts and cashbook payments.
• Sales ledger and credit control.
• Weekly debtor reporting and customer statements.
• Invoice discounting administration and reconciliations.
• Customer account validation.
• Staff expenses and credit cards.
• Monthly payroll and pension processing.
• Month end support.
• Ad hoc financial analysis.
• Supporting the wider finance team when required.
