Our Public Sector Client is currently seeking a temporary Ongoing Finance Assistant based in Newry.

Hours of work: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.

Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour.

Duties:

The following outlines the main duties and responsibilities of the role. These may evolve over time. The post holder is expected to work flexibly and perform any work that is reasonably required and appropriate to the grade.

  • Handle professionally telephone and face-to-face enquiries from staff within the Trust, external parties, and the public, following established protocols.
  • Provide clerical support to the assigned department, including using various technologies, photocopying, and faxing.
  • Open mail and direct correspondence to appropriate staff members.
  • Organise and deliver clerical support within the designated environment, which may include corporate support functions or client/patient-facing areas.
  • Perform reception duties as needed.
  • Manage requisitioning and maintain supplies of stationery.
  • Carry out ad hoc administrative and clerical tasks as required.
  • Prepare documents such as letters, memos, and minutes, and undertake audio transcription if needed.

Minimum requirements:

  • 4 GCSEs Grades A-C including English & Maths or equivalent, plus 1 year of relevant experience, or
  • 2 years of administrative experience.

Experience in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, or equivalent is preferred.
