Job summary

Anchor Group Services in Chester is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Finance team at our HQ in Chester Business Park. You will support Accounts functions, input invoices, maintain ledgers and reconcile banks as part of a busy finance operation.

This role offers development toward an AAT qualification with on‑the‑job training and access to Anchor Academy courses, plus a range of employee benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 AAT qualified or equivalent.
• At least 2 years finance experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in bank transactions and nominal ledger reconciliations.
• Excellent written English and strong email communication.
• Calm under pressure and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong IT skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access.

Responsibilities

• Coding and inputting invoices into Sage through Yooz.
• Overseeing and maintaining purchase ledgers.
• Verifying bank transactions.
• Managing accounts inbox and supplier/customer accounts.
• Recording bank receipts and payments and reconciling statements.
• Handling finance correspondence and office support tasks.
• Assisting in finance department operations and PO processing.
