Company details and Job overview:

Kenton Black Finance is recruiting for a part-time or full-time Finance Assistant for a business based in the Ulverston/Barrow area. The company has a turnover of approximately £14 million and has been operating for over 40 years. The role offers flexible working hours and a hybrid work model (2 days from home per week).

Your role as the Finance Assistant includes:

  1. Assist in creating new customer accounts, ensuring all information is correct for sales and finance reporting, and maintain ongoing amendments.
  2. Assist in credit checking new and existing accounts to establish suitable credit limits, ensuring insurance is in place where necessary.
  3. Handle customer and representative queries.
  4. Create and amend new supplier accounts.
  5. Process all invoices and credits, including sorting, coding, and obtaining authorization.
  6. Process manual purchase orders.
  7. Check supplier statements monthly and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  8. Provide support to other finance team members as needed.
  9. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in the finance department.
  10. Adhere to the company's values, policies, procedures, and objectives.

Requirements and skills:
