Finance Assistant (Fixed Term)

Scale 4, Points 9 - 12: £26,409 - £27,711 per annum

37 hours per week, All year round

This is a fixed term role on a temporary basis, initially until May 2026, to backfill an internal secondment.

Based at either : The West Bridgford School, Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham; The Kimberley School, Newdigate Street, Kimberley or The Joseph Whitaker School, Warsop Lane, Rainworth and home.

Currently with 25 schools, the East Midlands Education Trust represents the full educational age range of 3 - 19 including an alternative education provider. Our Central Services Team are now seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to provide high quality financial administrative support to the Trust’s Central Finance Team.

You will have previous experience of working within a Finance department, with the ability to develop and maintain effective and efficient Finance Administration systems.

You will be required to input standard information into the Trust’s financial system, PS Financials, in accordance with financial procedures, and ensure the day-to-day processes are managed in an accurate and timely manner.

The role also involves assisting with month end procedures, including bank reconciliations inputting of journals and the administration of income and sales invoices.

In return, you will receive 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays and will have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Holiday entitlement rises to 29 days and 32 days after 5 and 10 years of service respectively.
