Finance Assistant – Central London

We are partnering with a leading financial services firm in the heart of London to source a proactive Finance Assistant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail, this could be your next career move.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile ledger accounts, credit card statements, and bank accounts
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and employee expense claims
  • Assist with VAT returns and ensure tax compliance
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve queries
  • Maintain accurate financial filing systems and documentation

Candidate Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or accounts support role
  • Part-qualified (ACA/ACCA) or AAT qualified, or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification
  • Strong Excel skills; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Excellent numerical and analytical abilities
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet tight deadlines
