Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking a Finance Assistant to support a Defence and Aerospace client in Carterton. You will assist with cost analysis, forecasting, and month-end processes, helping to keep payroll, billing and accruals on track.

The role requires strong finance knowledge, ability to explain variances, and cash flow forecasting experience. 32ph inside IR35, contract to 30/06/2027, based in Carterton.

Qualifications

• Finance knowledge covering debits/credits, cash and P&L.
• Ability to explain variances and support financial controllers.
• Experience with cash flow forecasting and cost reporting.
• Experience with cost centre reporting and procurement coding.
• AAT or CIMA qualifications are beneficial.
• Experience within defence or aerospace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Financial controller with transactions and cost analysis.
• Maintain cash forecasts and assist in payroll and billing processes.
• Prepare accruals and allocate costs across the business.
• Collaborate with operations to forecast resources and costs.
• Record and evaluate risks or opportunities for management.
• Assist with month-end close and internal reporting.
• Liaise with procurement to ensure proper cost recognition.
• Provide analytics to support financial performance reporting.
