Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust in Sale is seeking a Finance Assistant/Apprentice to join our central finance team. The role involves transactional processing and reconciliations, with 35 hours per week at our central offices in Sale, and an option to pursue an Apprenticeship route to study for AAT.

The successful candidate will support supplier payments, month-end reporting, and external reporting, with opportunities for career development within a growing Catholic Academy Trust.

• Process supplier payments and manage reconciliations.
• Support month-end reporting and external reporting (statutory audit and ESFA).
• Provide financial reports to Emmaus CATs schools in a timely manner.
• Assist with general financial processing across Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust.

Job description

The Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust (Diocese of Salford) is dedicated to providing an outstanding Catholic Education to our pupils. We are seeking to expand our central finance team and appoint an enthusiastic individual to join us in the role of Finance Assistant/Apprentice. The successful candidate will be based at our central offices in Sale, reporting to the Transactions Team Leader and wider finance team, with responsibility for transactional processing and reconciliations.

The post-holder will work as part of the central finance team to ensure that payments to suppliers are processed and reconciled in a timely manner and will support Finance Business Partners with other aspects of the month-end reporting process and external reporting (statutory audit and ESFA).

The post-holder will enable schools within Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust to receive financial reports in a timely manner and will assist with financial processing
support across Emmaus.

Contract/Hours of work: 35 hrs per week (part time will be considered). There would be an option for an Apprentice route to study for AAT

Salary: NJC Grade 4/5 (SCP 7 19) FTE £26,403 to £32,061 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Based at Emmaus CATs Central Offices in Sale.
