The ideal candidate has a CIMA/ACCA part qualification, 2+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical skills. Key responsibilities include data cleansing, accounts payable reconciliation, and project support. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with opportunities for growth within the finance team.

Qualifications

  • CIMA/ACCA part qualified with 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience in a fast-paced multi-site business.
  • Technical knowledge of UK GAAP required.

Responsibilities

  • Data cleansing of current data for migration to new ERP system.
  • Accounts Payable statement reconciliations.
  • Support the Finance team throughout the Finance Transformation Project.

The role...

The Finance Assistant position is a newly created role to help the Finance team execute an exciting new ERP project. This role will sit in our UK Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. This role is a 12 Month FTC.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Data cleansing of current data for migration to new ERP system
  • Accounts Payable statement reconciliations
  • Updating missing supplier data
  • Attending workshops to support the effectiveness of the migration
  • Support Accounts Payable Manager with checking and testing of mapping
  • UAT testing in the new ERP system
  • Support the Accounts payable team with updating Sox Risk Controls matrix for PTP controls
  • Support the Project Management and Finance team throughout the Finance Transformation Project with ad hoc duties

What we look for...

  • You will likely be CIMA/ACCA part qualified with 2+ years of experience working in a similar role within a fast-paced multi-site business or comparable experience in a large accounting practice with a hands-on approach
  • Technical knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Strong analytical and reconciliations skills
  • Project Management Experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and ideally experience with Sage Accounts package
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Organised and methodical
