Job description

Finance Assistant - High Wycombe - 3 months initially

£13-£15 per hour + holiday pay (depending on experience)
Working pattern - 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Are you seeking your next role in Accounts Payable and keen to work for a well-established, growing, collaborative team? Then this is a unique opportunity to join our professional, high-profile business services client as a Finance Assistant in their Accounts Payable team. You will be working with a team of 8 based at their UK Headquarters in High Wycombe. The AP team manages around 300,000 transactions annually across over 200 locations, making this role suitable for candidates comfortable working in a multi-site environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Invoice scanning and verification
  2. Processing and coding invoices
  3. Handling over 300 accounts, including key suppliers, with high volume and value invoices
  4. Maintaining the Supplier Database, verifying and updating records
  5. Supplier statement reconciliations
  6. Liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve issues
  7. Performing ad hoc duties as required

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Excel (lookups, pivots)
  • Team player
  • Flexible and open-minded towards new tasks
