Job description

Finance Assistant – 3 month contract – Circa £25,000
Location: Swansea
Hours: Full time

TSR are currently working on behalf of a valued client who are looking to recruit a Temporary Finance Assistant to provide financial and business support to their EMEA Finance team. This is a hybrid role based in Swansea with an immediate start preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in generating reports for unpaid fees and invoices (Accounts Receivable / Credit Control)
  • Track customer payments and record transactions accurately
  • Support the Accounts Payable process including invoice handling and payment processing
  • Collaborate with US Accounts Payable Team to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Validate purchase orders and ensure compliance with internal processes
  • Enter and maintain financial data within internal systems
  • Assist with the preparation and review of financial reports
  • Support administrative and office-based tasks, including cover for facilities coordination
  • Contribute to general financial projects and day-to-day support of the finance function

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has a keen interest in or is currently pursuing a finance qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Strong numeracy skills with good attention to detail
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and basic analysis
  • Proactive, organised and capable of working under pressure
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal
  • Willing to learn new systems and develop in a finance-based environment

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable or Payroll
  • Familiarity with SAP, Dynamix SL, or Concur
  • Understanding of UK VAT or Payroll tax is a plus
