Our Opportunity
Responsibilities
The Finance Assistant supports the operational and finance teams by establishing internal controls and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing Night Audit discrepancies daily.
- Reconciling credit card transactions and posting to Opera.
- Producing daily revenue and payment reconciliations and uploading to Netsuite.
- Reconciling cash and credit card discrepancies with Heads of Department.
- Maintaining EBITDA trackers for revenue and costs.
- Monitoring and challenging outstanding debts to prevent losses.
- Importing sales data into EPS and monitoring payroll productivity.
- Updating sales and gross profit reports.
- Managing invoice processing and coding in Netsuite.
- Chasing debtors to ensure timely payments.
- Checking new credit requests via Dun & Bradstreet.
- Participating in debtor review calls.
- Supporting credit control to optimize debtor days.
- Assisting with financial analysis as needed.
- Providing accrual analysis for hotel cost management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as an Accounts Assistant, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Teams.
- Organized, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.
- Experience with Procure Wizard or similar systems.
- Experience with Netsuite or similar accounting software.
